Summer travel turns sour as Ethiopian Airlines luggage troubles mount in Burundi

Ethiopian

The summer rush intensifies and Ethiopian Airlines is already under fire as complaints of missing luggage pile up at the Melchior Ndadaye International Airport of Bujumbura.

An unprecedented number of passengers, particularly those from the diaspora returning home for the summer, have reported their baggage missing or delayed upon arriving in #Burundi.

The influx of complaints coincides with the summer peak season, when the number of passengers, especially those from the diaspora, vastly increases. Some have been waiting for days, even weeks, with little to no information about the whereabouts of their belongings.

Passengers continue to demand accountability, improved baggage handling systems and better customer service from the company.
